ICYMI: Andy kicked-off our French Open Quick Served series after Rafa’s Roland-Garros ceremony.

Just a day after taking in Rafa’s emotional Roland-Garros tribute, both Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek began their title defenses with first-round wins — talk about inspired.
Swiatek has now won 22 straight matches at Roland-Garros and is chasing history, hoping to become the first woman in the Open Era to win four straight French Open titles.
Alcaraz? Smooth sailing. He’s into the second round and has now won 28 of his last 30 matches on red clay. Rafa would be proud.
Top seeds Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka also advanced to the second round.

Back at Roland-Garros for the first time since 2022, Emma Raducanu battled through illness — and a tough opponent — to grind out a gritty three-set win over Wang Xinyu. After matching her longest ever clay-court match, mixed with a visit from a tournament doctor, Raducanu called it one of the most satisfying wins of her career.
Up next? A huge second-round clash with Swiatek. Buckle up.

Caroline Garcia’s Roland-Garros career has come to an end. The two-time French Open doubles champion announced before the tournament this would be her final appearance as she says goodbye to tennis. The former world No. 4 won 11 singles and 8 doubles titles in her career.
Richard Gasquet is also playing in his final French Open, his last tournament before retirement. The 38-year-old has the most tour-level wins by a Frenchman (610). Though, he’s not done yet after beating countryman Terence Atmane Monday to advance. Gasquet will next face world No. 1 Jannik Sinner.
Bonus: JW dropped a great story about Gasquet’s ‘juniors rivalry’ with Nadal.

We’re still not over the Nadal tribute. Andy shared his reaction to the “perfect” ceremony, the respect shown by the ‘Big 4', and other thoughts during Sunday’s Quick Served.
Here’s what Nadal said after the ceremony:
“When I saw [the permanent plaque of his footprint], I thought was going to be just for this year. Knowing that's going to be forever there, it's a present that I can't describe in words."
"To have my three biggest rivals there on the court with me meant a lot. At the same time, it's a great message for the world, I think, that best rivals -- toughest rivalries probably in the history of our sport -- are able to be good colleagues, to respect each other. You don't need to hate the opponent to try to beat him with all your forces.”

PICKLEBALL PARADISE: Atlanta could soon be home to the largest indoor pickleball facility in the U.S., featuring over 30 courts and a range of amenities
PADDLE & PLAY: Pickleball vacations are a thing—whether it’s a cruise, a luxury resort, a tournament trip, or just packing a portable net, you can play your favorite game anywhere you go
TITLE CHASE: The draw is set in Argentina as Premier Padel players gear up for next month’s major in Italy
FUNDRAISING RALLY: Celebrities, like boxing champ Sugar Ray Leonard, rallied for a cause at the 2025 Emmys Pickleball Slam, raising over $100K for charity while celebrating the sport’s 60th anniversary.
